South Haven Display and Swap Meet at the Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven, Michigan
August 27, 2005
|This meet was bigger and better than ever, although the weather initially looked somewhat questionable and we did get a few raindrops during the day. We had 32 registrations but certainly a few more attendees were actually present.|
Lots of people from town showed up to see our displays and bring in motors to sell (as in the past some of the offerings were pretty sweet!). John and Diana Collins provided "oldies" music and had us all humming and singing along...thank you John and Dianna!
The theme for our displays at this meet was "motors made in Michigan" and our members responded with some great displays. And, some members agreed to leave motors at the museum for a 6-month display with the same theme - our thanks go out to those members because their generous gesture will help pay the museum back for letting us use their facility each year. Also this year we held an auction to raise money for the museum's future projects!
