Wolverine Chapter Meet in Muskegon, Michigan on
Saturday June 17th, 2006
This is the Wolverine Chapter's Mona Lake Boat Club Meet, held on Saturday June 17th, 2006.
This was the second annual event for this location and it was a special meet for me because it was my first AOMCI meet! As I recall, this Wet meet was a big success with some awesome motors and boats on display (see pics). Of course there was a swap meet area going on with some great buys!
The weather was outstanding and everyone had a really great time. For me personally, it was really nice to meet club members for the first time as well as gawk at all their outstanding restored boats and motors! Plus, Stan Fleece bought a motor from me! Thanks Stan!
And I also wanted to point out that I grew up on Mona Lake and have many fond memories of gassing up and "hanging out" at the boat club during my middle and high school summers in my 12 foot AlumaCraft model RBL and 1956 Johnson 10 (QD-17) - I still have both. - Jim Wildgen
