Wolverine Chapter Meet in Benton Harbor, Michigan on
Saturday March 8th, 2014
Wolfs Marine Meet in Benton Harbor
We had 23 registered attendees. Two of them were new members, Sheila and Brian Pickel. We should all welcome them to the Chapter. We enjoyed an interesting array of show motors and a brief talk on each motor by the exhibitor.
Those present enjoyed coffee, hot tea and hot cocoa along with sweet rolls. For lunch we enjoyed chicken, potato salad, coleslaw and rolls for the main course and chop suey and oatmeal cakes with beverages. Rog Dykehouse gave an excellent show & tell demonstration with actual hardware (partial powerhead assemblies) to explain the difference between cross-flow scavenged and loop-scavenged 2-cycle engines.
A financial summary for the meet is as follows:
Expenses
- Food and food-related items (note: donuts, coffee, tea, cocoa, cakes & beverages were donated) $143.50
Revenues
- Lunch donations (21 people @ $6 each) $126.00
- Special donations $40.00
Profit $22.50
The meet was wrapped up with the Annual Meeting (see minutes in the newsletter). Special thanks go out to Wolf's Marine for use of their facility and to Jim Cronk, Charlene Hamp and Mona Gorz for assistance with the meet.
