Results of the 5-24-2015 Lake Cora Wet Meet

Weather & Attendance:
We had a warm and mostly cloudy day with a few instances of sun poking through the clouds and very few raindrops... definitely an overall good day for a meet. There were 25 registered attendees.
Water Events:
While our host was ready to orchestrate a Parade of Boats and present a few Peoples' Choice Boat-related Awards, the small turnout of boats was insufficient to support such an event. Thus, those that brought boats merely enjoyed open water time.
Peoples' Choice Show Motor Competition:
Only six motors were entered in the competition but it still was a very interesting display. The results can be reviewed in the "Meet_Results" section.
Lunch:
Marilyn Erion again provided a delicious lunch of BBQ chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, Jello salad, potato chips, pickles, beverage and dessert. Wow... what a great feed
Finances:
Lunch donations totaled $139 and that just about covered the lunch expenses. Frank Erion called it a break-even situation.
Wrap-up:
This was a fun day in a beautiful location for a meet. It was a shame that so many of our members missed out on the fun. Those that did attend expressed a big thank you to Marilyn and Frank Erion for hosting another successful event.
